Founded in 2011 by Ann Arbor native and University of Michigan Graduate Shari Foster, MSW, Foster Family Services LLC is a family-owned and operated agency committed to serving individuals, families, groups, agencies and businesses with a range of services from the social and human services to security services. Counseling

Foster Family Services specializes in post traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), depression, anxiety and trauma counseling. We serve children, adolescents, adults, and elderly populations. Services convene in the comfort of your own home on a weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly basis. All counseling services are provided by licensed mental health practitioners and therapists.

Home Health Program

This program allows for seniors and those who are disabled to remain in the comfort of their own home. Home Health aides offer comprehensive services such as light housekeeping, errand assistance, and medication reminders.

Our trainings are based on best practice and guidance from law enforcement officers means you will always know that the person standing by you has the skills to protect you from any threat. Security Guard

Michigan, USA
We have immediate openings for multiple Security Guards. These persons will patrol the grounds of their assigned location to ensure patrons follow the client rules for being on the premises and to identify suspicious activity. As you walk around the property, you will examine all doors, windows, and gates to check if they are working properly and report any safety issues you observe, such as fire hazards or water leaks. You will also take action to apprehend or remove anyone who is engaging in damaging, dangerous, or illegal acts, and call for law enforcement when necessary.

  • High school degree or equivalent.
  • Significant work experience as a security guard or other relevant position.
  • Thorough training and current certification or security officer diploma (preferred, or willingness to complete trainings).

  • Ability to operate detecting systems and emergency equipment.
  • Extensive working knowledge of public safety and security procedures/protocols.
  • Willingness to comply with all laws and institutional regulations at all times.

Job responsibilities may include but are not limited to the following:
  • Secures premises and personnel by patrolling property, monitoring surveillance equipment, and access points.
  • Investigates security breaches, incidents and other abnormal behavior.
  • Controls traffic by directing drivers and pedestrians.
  • Documentation of observations, information, surveillance activities and any other incidences.
  • Collaboration with partner agencies and law enforcement as needed.
  • Helps create a safe environment for clients and fellow coworkers.

Caregiver

South East Michigan
We are seeking an attentive and trustworthy caregiver to join our staff in providing excellent care to our clients. The caregiver will plan and follow a daily care schedule with clients, modify care plans as prescribed by medical professionals, and report on any new conditions or needs that may arise. To succeed as a caregiver you should be patient, empathetic, and have strong people skills. You should be observant and committed to making your client feel safe and comfortable.

  • Ensuring the client’s home is organized according to their needs and that safety measures are in place. You may also be expected to assist with some light housework.
  • Providing emotional support and encouragement to perform necessary tasks.
  • Providing mobility assistance may be required, for example helping the client in and out of bed, a chair, or a wheelchair.
  • Transporting or escorting the client to medical and other appointments.
  • Monitoring and reporting changes in health, behavior, and needs.
